For this lesson we will be learning the names of the planets in our solar system and identifying the size and shape of each planet. At the beginning of the lesson we are going to have a brief history lesson on the discovery of the planets. I will read the students a book called "Solar Systems" by Gregory Vogt. Students are going to be able to explore the features of Google Sky to look in depth at the planets. Students will complete several activities to help them in remembering the order the planets as well as the correct spelling
