After this lesson students will be able to understand the difference between orbit and rotation. During class students are going be doing an experiment to discover the differences in the rotation of the planets. Afterwards, students will get a better understanding of how heat and light from the sun varies depending on how far away the planet is from the sun. At the end of the lesson, students will know the number of days it takes each of the planets to rotate around the sun.
